Low Carb and Keto Jalapeno Mushroom Bites

You guys, I could eat these for breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner, and yes, you guessed it, dessert! These keto mushroom bites are just that good! This is the type of recipe that you can bring for a potluck, picnic, party, and whatever other occasion you can think of.

HFLC Keto Low Carb Cheesy Jalapeno Mushroom Bites

These are so easy to make. Simply grab some baby bella (crimini) mushrooms, or white, some bacon (what keto recipe would be complete without bacon, am I right?!), butter, cream cheese, jalapeños, shredded cheese (I chose the fiesta blend aka Mexican blend), and some paprika, salt and pepper.


12 crimini (baby bella) or white mushrooms (0.6g carbs)

8 oz. bacon (2.8g carbs)

2 tablespoons butter (0 carbs)

8 oz. cream cheese (9.6g carbs)

4 tablespoons fresh jalapeños, finely chopped

1/2 cup shredded cheese (your choice!) (2g carbs)

1 teaspoon paprika powder salt and pepper to taste


Preheat oven to 400°F

Fry bacon until crispy

Let cool on plate - then crush the bacon

Leave bacon fat in pan

Remove the stems from the mushrooms - set mushrooms on a greased baking dish

Finely chop the mushroom stems

Add in chopped stems and butter, saute

In a small bowl, mix in the stems and bacon with the cream cheese, jalapeños, shredded cheese, paprika, and salt and pepper

Spoon mixture into the mushrooms

Bake for 20 minutes

These are practically gone before I even remove them from the oven. They are so delicious, no one misses the carbs - that's what makes this the perfect low carb keto appetizer, in my humble opinion. I think I probably make these once a week!
