Copycat Buc-ee's BBQ Barbecue Pulled Pork Sandwiches

This recipe for Copycat Buc-ee's BBQ Barbeque Pulled Pork Sandwiches taste just like the real thing from the infamous Texas gas station (and Georgia soon)!

Copycat Buc-ee's BBQ Barbecue Pulled Pork Sandwiches

If you happen to live in Texas (and soon to be Warner Robbins, Georgia, North Carolina, and a few other states!), and you've ever been to a Buc-ee's, then you know why I had to create a copycat version of their BBQ Barbecue Pulled Pork Sandwich - it's so good, y'all!

Normally I have to ask them for onions and pickles - so if you are making this recipe (or trying it) for the first time, be sure to thinly slice a small white onion and have some hamburger dill pickle chips handy - it's makes the sandwich that much better!  But, if you don't like onions or pickles, feel free to leave them off.  These sandwiches still taste AMAZING!

You'll need a pork shoulder roast (about 5-6 lbs), some barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, chicken stock, light brown sugar, spicy brown mustard, Worchestshire sauce, chipotle chili powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, and some dried thyme.

5-6 lbs pork shoulder roast

 1.5 cup barbecue sauce

3/4 cup apple cider vinegar

 3/4 cup chicken stock

1/2 cup light brown sugar

1 tablespoon spicy brown mustard

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon chipotle chili powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 tablespoon onion powder

1 tablespoon garlic powder

2 teaspoon dried thyme

About 10-12 hamburger buns

Heat the slowcooker to low and lightly spray with cooking spray. Place the pork in the pot. Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl and then pour over the pork. Cook on low for 10 hours. Once done, shred the pork with forks and serve on buns!

These go great with potato salad, baked beans, coleslaw -  basically all the southern fixins'!
